Many of the parents who come to admit their children in RTE, come in expensive cars. One child who got admitted in RTE category is the son of a owner whose tenant's son is studying in the same school in general category. This poor kid's "poor" dad also has few more buildings given out to rent and also some shops. RTE - right to education was a law introduced recently allows poor children to study in good schools. The fees and other expenses of the child will be borne by government. Many schools had opposed the move. Now look at the way people are tweaking the law to their benefit. They pay some bribe and get an income certificate with annual income as low as Rs 15000/- per year and get their children admitted in this quota. Of course, any rule will be misused some times. Our cops were really very busy as it is. What with protecting VVVVIPs, catching the offenders of traffic rules (poor ladies like me :( ), and controlling the bandhs and dharnas called by ruling parties and opposition parties. Now they have one added duty which gets highest priority, arresting the people who hurt the sentiments of people (most often VVVVIP people) by comments made in social networking sites. No wonder they do not get any  time to catch thieves, murderers and terrorists. And to maintain law and order.

We are a very strong nation with a great law enforcement body. We may not be able to nab the terrorists. We may not be able to catch naxals. We may not even catch petty thieves. But we can certainly catch and arrest an old man who wants to protest by fasting. He is corrupt. His bill is draconian. And his arguments are so irrational. He says we need a stronger body to stop corruption. Where is corruption in our country? All these scams you hear are hideous designs by opposition parties to malign us.
