Religion ! A faulty protocol

I started the day with an argument. What is new about that. Nothing. Well, let me rephrase it. As usual me and my spouse started the day with an argument - over love jihad. He complained - you were telling that in Mangalore they attack youngsters it they talk to a muslim boy or girl, now see what has been happening!! I answered I doubt its truthfulness and also for me this is not an important issue at all. I do not have any religion. So religion is immaterial to me. Converting a girl to muslim in the name of Religion is better than attacking them, or beating them etc according to me.

Really, whether to believe in god, I am doubtful about. But religion, a big no no. May be religion is a protocol to interact with God . But the amount of violence and hatred which are its side effects are terrible. Come on, discard that protocol. think of some thing new which will bring the best in man.

Nowadays  religion is becoming a way of bringing up and sanctifying all the hatred buried in human mind.

I do not want to offend anyone. May be religion will make people good. But history says otherwise.

I can visualize Allah, Ishwar, Krishna, Jesus and many unknown others, standing above in the sky and telling us " Stop, children. Stop fighting! You are all part of our family. Do not fight with each other. And for heaven's sake, STOP FIGHTING IN OUR NAME"

This must really go to facebook page. But since I am currently not in facebook, I am putting it here. Bharatha - 2. UrdhvaRoma

I wanted to write about Karna as my part 2 of Bharatha because he is the real tragic hero of MahaBharatha. But net is filled with writings about him. So let me write about little known son of Arjuna called Urdhvaroma. And I don't want to write as twisted tale but as I have heard it from my Yankatte (atte - aunt). Yankatte was my mother's aunt and she was widowed in childhood. She would spend some time in my granny's house and some time in her husband's house. She would tell us all beautiful stories. UrdhvaRoma was a son of Arjuna (I think. Or may be Bhima's son. I don't remember clearly. ) He was living in the forest. One day when he was practicing archery, Arjuna and Krishna were passing by.
