I am really going southward. From being a book-worm , I have changed to a tvholic or couch potato. But I can not help myself, as there are so many movies to watch, so many different soaps with new themes and ideas (!).
So I watch TV for at least 5 hours a day. But now I am facing a big problem. What should I do during commercial breaks? As I recently read in some article (of course internet article), should I do some couch exercises? Ha, catch me doing exercises. I don't want to exercise. Period. I am happy with my health and my fitness. ( and my tummy and my occasional leg pain and shoulder pain and....). You tell me I could do some preparation for the evening meal. What do you think I am, a chef in some fancy restaurant, to prepare so early for the meals? And what preparation does one sambar, one raita require?
So during commercial break, I do what other couch potatoes do. I surf channels to see if I can multi task and watch two soaps simultaneously. My favourite channels being star world and zee cafe. If the soaps really can not be watched for nth time during the week, I surf for movie channels.
But today I found another interesting channel. What masala do you want in a tv programme? You want some dance, want some emotional " maaaaa "- mother-son scene, you want some adventure? I found all these.
A really huge person was shaking a leg. But no, I think this person is dancing with a tree, not around a tree. A duet with a tree?
A mother was furiously diving into water and grabbing some food for her children. She hurried back immediately to her place, delivered the food to children and rushed back again to get some more food.
Some little creatures were collecting all they can and saving the grains for a rainy day. In fact they were not saving for a rainy day but for a cold, cruel winter.
Yes, I was watching National Geographic channel. The dancing person was 600 kilo bear itching itself against a tree. The mother was the ferret( or some other animal which looked like a long rat) diving in water to catch fish. And birds were collecting grains for winter.
We find all these struggles of these animals for survival so cute and funny. Does HE find our sorrows, our problems cute and funny?
