There is no such thing is a free lunch.
It is almost true. Figuratively at least. People give you free something and they will always expect something in return. Like politicians who want your votes.
But literally? It may not be so. At least not in our country. There are free lunches available - no return favor expected.
Example one: you go to any temple town in south India. (May be in north India too. I don't know) If you go during lunch hour and don't mind standing in the queue, you can eat healthy, hygienic ( and prasada - religious offering to God) food. Free. No questions asked.
Example two: Here I have to take you in a time machine 40- 45 years backwards. In our ancestral villages, if any one went to a house during noon time, he would be offered food. They would consider it a ethically wrong to send person without food during noon time. Remember we are talking about times where transportation was very difficult. Not every one had a car or a two wheeler. They had to depend on unreliable public transportation. So visitors would be fed. No questions asked.
I remember something else. There was a widow. She was mentally not stable. But not violent. She would just be walking from one village to another and stay in some one's house. She will sit in one corner, and then come and sit for lunch. People always fed her. No one asked her to leave, no one was rude to her. When children would try to chide her, adults would scold them.
OK, they were different times. Looks almost like centuries ago.
But I was talking to you about having no free lunches figuratively. Not good ones at least.
I tried some free "app idea generators" in the web. They are horrible. I think they have some professions and some verbs and shows us random combinations of them.
See, I don't know what to write. Not a blog post. But an app. What should be my next app? I tried SMS backup - not very successfully. I tried some music player - realized it will be a complete failure. I am unable to add features present in existing apps. Leave alone new features.
Then I got a new idea. How about a personal diary? With a password. With personalization features etc.
And there is already such an app with close to 10 million downloads with all the features I dreamed of and many many more. This world is not fare :)
So may be I will write an app idea generator app instead. With random combinations of keywords! :)
