A tragedy and aftermath

How many lives does it take for our government to take things seriously? Now everyone is saying that Met department has warned Uttarakhand government regarding heavy rain fall and asked it to cancel yatras and move people to a safe place. The government and we common people as well just ignore things which are not pleasant to us and firmly believe that bad things do not happen to us.

Two MPs of different parties were physically fighting over who would take AP tourists back to their homes. But now many yatris of MP and Rajasthan are stranded again because they are penniless and the immediate compensation money of 2000 they are supposed to get, is not coming soon. The fighting MPs could have come and taken these people to their homes. Of course with government money.

Few days back, Namo offered Uttarakhand to re-build the shrine of Kedarnath temple. And of course the congress state government snubbed him. But now who will build the houses, roads, hospitals and schools for the villages who are completely washed away? What will a person do, if overnight his house, his farm/shop and his entire life has vanished leaving behind just mud? Will these people ever get a normal life? Even if the money arrives from people and organizations all over India and abroad, for these people, how much of that money will reach these people?

This must really go to facebook page. But since I am currently not in facebook, I am putting it here. Bharatha - 2. UrdhvaRoma

I wanted to write about Karna as my part 2 of Bharatha because he is the real tragic hero of MahaBharatha. But net is filled with writings about him. So let me write about little known son of Arjuna called Urdhvaroma. And I don't want to write as twisted tale but as I have heard it from my Yankatte (atte - aunt). Yankatte was my mother's aunt and she was widowed in childhood. She would spend some time in my granny's house and some time in her husband's house. She would tell us all beautiful stories. UrdhvaRoma was a son of Arjuna (I think. Or may be Bhima's son. I don't remember clearly. ) He was living in the forest. One day when he was practicing archery, Arjuna and Krishna were passing by. Krishna indicated Arjuna to hide and watch. This boy shot an arrow to a large tree. And all the leaves of the tree fell down except for 5 and a half leaves.
