Computers for parents

My parents have bought the laptop. So I was searching for some basic help video for them to use the laptop. Help video which they need. They need not know what is cpu, what is input, output etc. Nor do they need to know how to change the desktop wallpaper.

I searched for kannada videos. I did find one. But not good. Then there were some video series in Hindi. One was named some thing like basic computers for parents. So appropriate title. And it is good. The video teaches what is desktop, how to search for files, open files etc and how to send gmail. Here is a link to the video youtube

And there is another series from gnanyagya. This is professionally made and is useful.

My mother is a writer and she wants to type in Kannada using Baraha. So I did find one tutorial for baraha - did not have the patience to go through it. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmxNRq6PlK8

I got an impulse to prepare a video myself. Then I know me. Will some one prepare a series of videos in Kannada - how to start computers, basic file opening,saving etc, using mail , using skype and using internet.

Hair care and me ??

I delayed writing this post for I was not sure whether I am entitled to write this post. If I put my photo along, I should also add that I do not use Dove shampoo, so that it will serve as a warning to people , if they don't use a proper shampoo, their hair might also look like mine :-( :-( :-( Things (on my head) were not this bad always. I had long black and reasonably thick hair, nicely plaited, when I was a child. In fact I would be sitting on my plaits - they were so long. And to top it all, one of relatives used to say " you say you will be taller and your hair will say it will be longer" or something like that. (Now I have ended up 5.2 ft  and my hair also short sob....) Back then, how did I nourish my hair?I did not do much in fact. But mere paas maa thi. She would religiously oil my hair - everyday. We Hegdes from Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga districts of Karnataka belong to a brahmin sub sect called Havyaka Brahmins. We have some traditions of our own, a language of our own - which is slightly different from kannada.
