Song for every occasion

Does this happen to everyone or atleast anyone? I will be travelling to office. I see the backside of a vehicle and see payal written there. Then suddenly background music "payalawali dekhana..". What is wrong with that you may ask. Nothing I just wonder in my very very volatile RAM, how many songs are stored.
And also, I am thinking something and not able to get suitable word. But again my background process supplies with most suitable (not so well known) word. Good. Again too many books which I read are not completely futile.
Coming back to songs , I am very very fond of bollywood songs of good old old days. I got this site songs.pk from my son. Has a very good collection of songs both old and new. It took me a long time to realise that pk stands from pakistan. Started feeling guilty. Why should I download our own hindi songs from a pakistani site?
In our office, in our room, every one is a fan of bollywood songs. A chubby boy from MP will be singing and listening to sad Rafi song. Another boy from west Bengal will listen to recent songs and singing it. A girl from Calcutta is swinging to some other song while reading USB device driver. I a pure kannadathi listen to my own collection of old and new songs. Only common thread here is bollywood song.
And I suspect that my manageble (I know I have spelled it wrong) Hindi is the contribution of Hindi films and songs and ofcourse TV serials. ( I have hardly studied Hindi in 4 years of my school life. )
Now don't ask me kannada songs are not melodius or beautiful? Yes, they are. But I don't know them. Just like I don't know how to blog in Kannada nicely.

Hair care and me ??

I delayed writing this post for I was not sure whether I am entitled to write this post. If I put my photo along, I should also add that I do not use Dove shampoo, so that it will serve as a warning to people , if they don't use a proper shampoo, their hair might also look like mine :-( :-( :-( Things (on my head) were not this bad always. I had long black and reasonably thick hair, nicely plaited, when I was a child. In fact I would be sitting on my plaits - they were so long. And to top it all, one of relatives used to say " you say you will be taller and your hair will say it will be longer" or something like that. (Now I have ended up 5.2 ft  and my hair also short sob....) Back then, how did I nourish my hair?I did not do much in fact. But mere paas maa thi. She would religiously oil my hair - everyday. We Hegdes from Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga districts of Karnataka belong to a brahmin sub sect called Havyaka Brahmins. We have some traditions of our own, a language of our own - which is slightly different from kannada. But I am not an authority on the subject, nor have I read any book on comparative analysis of Karnataka brahmin traditions.
