Burnet is having cancer. He undergoes treatment from the best doctor in town and recovers. But few months later when visits the doctor again, doctor takes samples of his tissues. And asks him to come back after six months. This continues for quite long time. By now Burnet is sure that cancer has relapsed even though Doctor has not explicitly told so. He sells his house and starts living in a smaller apartment. He starts living like a man his days are numbered. But his health has not deteriorated and doctor gives him more and more forms to sign. When he gets a form which says his cells will be used for commercial purposes, he declines. And thus starts a battle between a common man and a influential biotech industry.

When he asks for his share, doctor declines. And the irony is doctor wins the case, as the court rules that once the body parts, leave the body, they are waste and the person does not have any rights on them.

His wife convinces everyone that he is a human kid with rare kind of disease.
Watson who wants to take over Biogen, manages to destroy complete cell line of Burnet cells. Now Biogen wants these cells, but Burnet has vanished. Rick sends two bounty hunters to extract cells from Burnet's daughter or grandson, if necessary kidnapping them.
On the whole it is a good thriller if you like sci-fi.
