Children are our future. As goes the one of the overused cliches. But the truth is even more. For we Indians, our children are the purpose of our lives.
But how are we protecting our children? Look at the case of Faisal and now Mahi. We send our children in buses where the drivers turn to killers. We let our children play outside where open bore wells swallow them. Then we blame the government saying it is indifferent. What about us? How many of us do know about overcrowded school busses and autos but still keep quiet. What do we do when we see, an open bore well? Do we at least inform the authorities? How responsible we are ? Are we also not to blame for such deaths?
Faisal an LKG student fell off the bus, when door closed and the bus drover over him. The driver of the bus, put him back to the bus, drove for 2 kms and abandoned the bus. The child died before onlookers could take him to hospital.
