Here is the quiz
A travels everyday from her (or his) home to office in two wheeler. The distance is around 18 km. The speed in which she goes depends on the circumstances. In a clear stretch, she goes at 50 kmph, if there lot of traffic, she goes at 30 kmph and near traffic signals she goes or she is forced to go at around 2kmph. Some times to avoid pot holes, she has to go at 10 kmph. And at each traffic signal she has to wait for almost 10 minutes.
Now if there are 15 traffic signals she has to cross, and there are 300 pot holes large and small, and three roads which have heavy traffic, what is the time required for her to travel the distance?
Now for those hungry for more complexities, here are additional problems.
If A is a he instead of she, whenever his vehicle touches others' vehicle or vice-verse , he spends 15 minutes for verbal fight with the other traveller. But his average speed in clear stretch or otherwise is 60 kmph, except for traffic signals.
If A has a not very kind boss/organization where they cut half a day's salary if A is 10 minutes late to office, what are the number of days, he receives full day's pay? If A (is a he and) blames his wife for not preparing the breakfast early and hence causing the pay cut, what are the number of days where there is early morning fight in A's home?
