Security for everyone - how?

We have a problem here - serious one. Which is security of women. It was not so serious, but few painted and dented sundar women are unnecessarily creating lot of noise.

Our authentic khap people suggested that girls must be married early. Some politicians even seconded that. But that does not seem to work as rapist does not discriminate between married women and unmarried girls. In fact they do not discriminate at all. Some leaders put their thinking caps on and got a brilliant idea. They suggested that girls and women should be inside their homes before it gets dark. But they must have removed the caps early. Because they did not realize that in today's times it is impossible for any working woman to reach home before dark.

But the police force is limited. And the population is very very large. And some police should be reserved for VVIP security.

So let us think of some reverse psychology. Just like women should be inside the house, to be safe, politicians can too be inside the house to be safe. That is outrageous you say. How are they going to serve the country if they are inside the house. How will they attend different rallies? How will give election speeches? How will they inaugurate a hospital belonging to them. ? How will they attend legislative assemblies or councils once in a blue moon.

Here is where technology comes into picture. Our leaders have shown their eagerness to use new technology by asking new ipads etc. They can use the same technology for their benefit. A leader who is supposed to be addressing the rally can give a live telecast of his speech, sitting in the comfort of his air conditioned home. He can even read the prepared election speech and it can be shown on big screen. He does not have to prepare it for different constituencies. His tech support can edit the content, depending on whether it is Bidar or Belgaum.

And if he wants to go to Vidhana soudha, he can send a stooge, who can sleep sit through the session, and record the proceedings and show it to the leader. If in a rare case of leader having a question to ask, again a teleconferecing method can be used.

But we were talking about security of women. What has that got to do with making leaders sit at home? Don't you see the connection? Leaders do not step out of the house. They do not need black commandos or white security guards and police cars following them and leading them. So there are some police extra. Who can be on vigilance helping out women in distress.

This method will also be beneficial to the above mentioned leaders. People may even bless them for saving the tax payers' money in air fares, taxi fares, and also for avoiding traffic jams and flight delays. Happy people may tend to vote for them.

Bharatha - 2. UrdhvaRoma

I wanted to write about Karna as my part 2 of Bharatha because he is the real tragic hero of MahaBharatha. But net is filled with writings about him. So let me write about little known son of Arjuna called Urdhvaroma. And I don't want to write as twisted tale but as I have heard it from my Yankatte (atte - aunt). Yankatte was my mother's aunt and she was widowed in childhood. She would spend some time in my granny's house and some time in her husband's house. She would tell us all beautiful stories. UrdhvaRoma was a son of Arjuna (I think. Or may be Bhima's son. I don't remember clearly. ) He was living in the forest. One day when he was practicing archery, Arjuna and Krishna were passing by. Krishna indicated Arjuna to hide and watch. This boy shot an arrow to a large tree. And all the leaves of the tree fell down except for 5 and a half leaves. Krishna and Arjuna came forward and asked him what was all this about. The boy told " After few years there wi...
