Personal comments and politicians

I saw this image in facebook saying "Your mama is so fat that her weight is negative". Though offended about reference to mama, I got curious. How can weight be negative when it is too high. Then I remembered 16 bit signed integer, if exceeds 15 bits, becomes negative as the sign bit becomes 1. But what is even more interesting is one of the comments "It clearly shows you have run out of arguments to make mama comment". So true in our current political scenario!

Look at the comments all these political parties are making about each other. The comments are  really because they don't have things to talk about their achievements and do not know how to solve the problems in the future. And top it all, they blame others saying "they started it". Preposterous. Even children stop saying this after an age of 8-10.

 Why don't any party tell us, how are they going to reduce inflation, reduce corruption, provide bijli, makaan and paani (power, house and water) for everyone? We really don't want to know what their ancestors did and how great they were. Nor do we care if these politicians come from humble backgrounds. We want good governance and surety that our basic rights are maintained and some how this inflation is brought down.

    Very true. They don't bother how their comments reflect on themselves and us as a country.

Hair care and me ??

I delayed writing this post for I was not sure whether I am entitled to write this post. If I put my photo along, I should also add that I do not use Dove shampoo, so that it will serve as a warning to people , if they don't use a proper shampoo, their hair might also look like mine :-( :-( :-( Things (on my head) were not this bad always. We Hegdes from Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga districts of Karnataka belong to a brahmin sub sect called Havyaka Brahmins. We have some traditions of our own, a language of our own - which is slightly different from kannada. But I am not an authority on the subject, nor have I read any book on comparative analysis of Karnataka brahmin traditions. And as most modern secular Hindus I find it more amusing to make fun of our traditions rather than celebrating them - may be because I do not understand it completely. I attended a marriage yesterday. So let us talk about few of rituals in this marriage ceremony. On the previous day of the marriage called Naandi - which means beginning of any good thing.
