Finally went to library and brought two books one from Amitav Ghosh. In an Antique land. Atleast start looks good. And style is interesting. Another is from an author of Peru. (Don't remember authors name or the book title, I picked up the book because the image on the book cover looked abstract)

Well that is a wish at least.
I know my English is not impeccable. But I know for sure that it is better than many other collegues. So when I was sent a mail saying that there is an error in my program message - that can not is one word, I got angry. How dare these kids pointing fingers at my English. I have read more English books than their ages!! Googled and found out that can not and cannot are both correct but cannot is more popularly used. Sent this as a reply to colleagues. And found some solace.
