Let go

Few days earlier I posted something like rah me chood ke saya bhi chala jaata hai. But today I had some recollection which helped me to look at the facts from a different angle. My cousin, 5 years old at that time used to tell harmless lies and we all used to be amused by her lies. She used to say but everybody in her class tell lies.

Now when I could laugh at that genuinely at these harmless lies, why am I feeling so angered by people's lies? Why can't I just give a om shanti smile at these?

OK, domestic help says her uncle's brother's sister's son died by hanging himself and hence she had to go for the funeral. Fine smile at her. If she says she had to clean her house for her forthcoming daughter's wedding, will I let her to take a leave? Understand her and smile and let go.

Not only her. Any one for that matter. They are lying as they have a reason. Do not try to analyze them, but just let go and let be. Be amused and at the most laugh it out. But not in front of them.

That will make YOU feel lighter.

Hair care and me ??

I delayed writing this post for I was not sure whether I am entitled to write this post. If I put my photo along, I should also add that I do not use Dove shampoo, so that it will serve as a warning to people , if they don't use a proper shampoo, their hair might also look like mine :-( :-( :-( Things (on my head) were not this bad always. I had long black and reasonably thick hair, nicely plaited, when I was a child. In fact I would be sitting on my plaits - they were so long. And to top it all, one of relatives used to say " you say you will be taller and your hair will say it will be longer" or something like that. (Now I have ended up 5.2 ft  and my hair also short sob....) Back then, how did I nourish my hair?I did not do much in fact. But mere paas maa thi. She would religiously oil my hair - everyday. We Hegdes from Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga districts of Karnataka belong to a brahmin sub sect called Havyaka Brahmins. We have some traditions of our own, a language of our own - which is slightly different from kannada.
