There is a large tree in front of our house. And we both protect the
tree from different kinds of invaders. May be we are wrong. May be Trees
are bad. They drop leaves and leaves make our courtyard dirty. But we
believe that trees help our city and our earth.
So the other day I noticed a very small sachet of turmeric powder and vermilion below the tree. I was intrigued. Because there is no God there. But do I get tempted to install a God there! To stop the street and other dogs from defecating there.
But do dogs see a small picture and realize it is God and it sacrilegious to shit there? I don't know.
Let us not try to contemplate who if any one placed these packets there. Who would want to harm me and for what reason and in what different ways? No that topic becomes a mindless blame game - like congress bjp fight.
So I saw these packets and showed them to my domestic help next morning. She was terrified. She asked me not to touch them. But I just took and threw the packets away. Cursing my real and perceived enemies.
Well such kind of things are said to be linked to some black magic, I think. So if a person touches them, some thing bad will happen to him/her.
So what happened? Yesterday my ankles were acting up. Pain which does not go away even after resting my feet, even after a nap.
But is this really linked to the turmeric? I am short and fat. The only form of exercise I get is to my 10 fingers when I try to code or google. And may be an hour of kitchen work. And did I tell you that I am 52. Years old. Not 52 kgs. So ankle pain is really a result of myvery bad life style.
And today my dress got caught in escalator in a shopping mall.
Well again, I was wearing my dupatta carelessly over my shoulders. And it is quite long. So I did not realize that it is getting stuck.
So I should remember in future that my personal safety is more important than the fear that some body may comment at the how I have put one less layer of clothing.
