After few days of blogging , Julie Rafter gets an offer for writing a weekly column in a newspaper. What about me? Where are the people who will call me and offer me such a job?
Anyway silver lining in the cloud was I wrote two entries in my c blog about inheritance.
By the way, Julie Rafter is not my neighbor, but one of the Rafters in TV serial "Packed to the rafters", which is good family drama.
And the title of the post? Don't worry I am not here to create one more scare like 2012. And I also know that my readers never really believed all that crap written about destruction of universe in that year.
April 10th was not really a scare even in childhood. It was a happy day. We would prepare to give a shock to our parents by saying " appa, amma, napasu" , (na - I pasu - passed . But napas is fail). But there were no celebrations either. It was known fact that I would pass and I would also stand first to class. So what is so great in that. And we were dumb compared to today's kids. My son always asks," I got such and such percent. What will you give me? " In fact if our parents reprimanded us about not getting first rank to class instead getting only second rank, we would walk away feeling sad. Nor did we decide then and there that we would study day and night next year to get that much wanted first rank. We took the life in an easy stride.
Did we attend tuition classes in school or at least in 12th? No chance. Our parents told us tuition classes are for dumb children. And we happily agreed and spent that time playing hop and scotch, snake and ladders, kavade and various other games. We would religiously do our home work which was not back breaking like today. In fact a few of us would even help our teacher correct maths note books of our classmates. And teach the first standard class. Yes at least I remember teaching at least 4-5 days when there was no class teacher for first standard. I was in 7th standard then.
Our kids may feel that our lives were completely dull and mundane and meaningless. But we sure had lot of fun.
