One more bomb blast in Bangalore. Luckily there were no casualties. When will this mindless terrorism stop?
Why are terrorists born? They are born because, they are taught to love and believe whatever their leaders tell them without thinking, without asking questions. They are taught to hate "other" people. They are taught that if they die protecting their religion they die a martyr's death and very nice things wait for them in the other world. So I feel in order to curb this menace, we need to find these leaders and ask them some questions. Or better still, we should prepare our youth to ask these questions.
Disciple : Sir is it true that our God has created this world. Is it true?
Leader : Yes, of course. He has created this world and also all the living creatures in them.
Di :So our God has created all human beings. Is it?
Le : Yes. Certainly.
Di : Including people of that other religion?
Le : Yes. He has created every living thing in this world, all birds, all animals, all humans. Everyone. Why are you asking the same question again and again.
Di : Sorry sir. I have a small brain. It takes a lot of time to digest the facts. Now, honorable sir, do you have any children?
Le : No, I am a religious man. I am not married. I devote all my time to the prayer of God and enlightening other people.
Di : Sir , my question was do you have any children, not whether you were married.
Le : (His face starts turning beetroot red. And he starts collecting all kinds of expletives)
Di : Sir, sorry. Sorry. My sincere apologies. I do not know how to talk. Sir, but you have nephews and nieces. Other day I saw your nephew. He is so cute and smart. Really very smart sir. How many nephews and nieces do you have sir?
Le : I have totally 7 nephews and 8 nieces. Yes they are all very very smart. But why are you asking this?
Di : Sir, if someone attacks one of them, how will feel sir?
Le : (starts walking towards this youth) #**#$#, *#**#**. What do you think of yourself?
Di : Sir, do not take me wrong sir. I am a dumb animal sir. But I will personally go and break the attacker's both legs and hands. Sir but you will be very angry with that person and will want him to punished severely, isn't it right sir?
Le : (trying hard to control the anger) Yes. But see, child. I do not like the way you are talking. Who has planted you here? Some one from our people will never think of talking like this.
Di : But sir. The people from "other" religion are also children of our God. How would he feel if we attack them sir. What will he do to us in the other world sir?
Le : (embarrassed) Well. Let us see. Err. Ok. I will answer that in next meeting. Now let us see what God has told in chapter 10 , stanza 12.
So, dear people. Please for heaven's sake. Do not just believe others' words. If any one asks you to hate someone, or do something which you feel is not right, ask him what does he gain from that. Ask him if martyrdom is so good, why doesn't he get that blessing himself.
