I recently started another blog about recipes. Yeah, you heard it right. A RECIPE blog. Somehow does not sound right? I completely agree with you. I am not well qualified to write anything about recipes. And yes, my conscience is pricking me. If I let out the reason for my blog, may be you will understand and conscience will keep quiet for some time.
I very badly want to earn money from my blogs. (who does not want to ?). I started googling about that topic viz how to earn money from internet. Somebody suggested "they like sports so write about sports, they like to cook so write about recipes". The former is out of reach for me. Never in my life I have played any sports, nor do I watch cricket ( which is synonymous with sports in our Indya). So I can not possibly blog about sports.
But I do cook, right? I cook 3 meals a day for my family (in fact currently it is 4 as son is having holidays and he will not eat anything unlike his father). Does it not qualify me to write about cooking?
But the feedback I receive for my cooking is not very positive. My son says amma, you do not know how to cook period. My mother says, you do not pay complete attention to cooking. And my husband says - he does not say anything! Once in a blue moon, when I see the frown in his face ease a little, I realize that cooking might have been slightly ok.
So me writing is going to end like blind leading the blind situation? That is my major worry.
Now I told you. Sigh.....
I could not write all these things in that recipes blog. ( I want to people to read my blog frequently, not run away from it)
If you happen to come across the above said blog - do not worry. You may not die after eating those recipes. Because, I am trying the recipes first and eating them myself and next day if I am still alive, I am blogging them.
