"Clothes maketh the man" goes a saying. What about the woman? This saying should use woman instead. Tell me who dresses more vibrantly, more frequently or more at length?
Men will wear just a blue or black trousers and a white shirt in 2 seconds duration. But the woman will start wearing a, then b, then c , then suddenly decide it is not looking good, remove all of them and select another set and start the procedure all over again. Some of women's clothing are so difficult to put on that you can call them an art or a for that matter a science. Have you ever tried tying a saree?
And look at the colors of dresses. Can you precisely define the color of the dress a woman is wearing. A man may say that this color is red, blue or green (RBG in techie terms). Some men can not even tell blue and green apart. But ask women! They will tell you a poetry. The dress so and so wearing is sky blue with some shades of turquoise and hints of Persian blue in it. And it does not suit her at all. Most menand me will just stare at such a statement.
A man's clothings come in four different colors - white, black, light blue and dark blue. That's it.
And what about designs on these dresses. Women's clothings will have all kinds of flowers, buds and twigs on them. Some will have entire bouquets. Also these will have fruits, yes the famous mango pattern. Some will have geometric patterns. And all these designs are adorned with different embroiders in plain or zari threads, mirror works or beads etc.
But design on men's dresses, if present will be straight lines. But they prefer to call it stripes as stripes found on a zebra.
